CUYS Joins National Night Out

On Tuesday, August 6th, Chester Upland Youth Soccer (CUYS) had the pleasure of participating in Better Tomorrows’ National Night Out.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that fosters police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Millions of neighbors participate across all fifty states and military bases worldwide. Chester is one of over two hundred cities in Pennsylvania that take part in this yearly event.

The evening promised to be filled with fun, community, and friendship. Activities included cornhole, fire trucks and firefighters, beach balls, and, most excitingly, soccer! Local kids were thrilled to play the "Sharks & Minnows" game.

Although the night was cut short due to inclement weather, the community made the most of it, even playing soccer in the rain before the storm began.

We extend our gratitude to the community for inviting us to be part of this special event, and to our volunteer, Junior Coach Manny Pickup, who did a great job with the kids.
