CUYS Wins 2nd Consecutive CUSD Community Partnership Award

Ms. Darnell Medley of Main Street Elementary nominated CUYS and presented the award.

Ms. Claudia Averette, Chief of Staff for the Chester Upland School District, celebrated the award with CUYS Executive Director Jeannine Anckaitis.

The Chester Upland School District has once again honored Chester Upland Youth Soccer with its Community Partnership Award.

The award was presented at CUSD’s Celebration of Excellence, a lovely event honoring superstar employees, extraordinary volunteers and other supporters of the district.

Ms. Darnell Medley, Principal of Main Street Elementary School, nominated and conferred the award to CUYS. In her remarks, she alluded to CUYS’s extensive commitment to students as shown through the after-school soccer program and season-end celebrations. Spring 2024 ended with a trip to the Elmwood Park Zoo, while Fall 2023 concluded with a pajama dance party and care packages sent home for all.

This is the second consecutive year when Chester Upland Youth Soccer has been honored with this meaningful award.
